What’s for Supper?

Crab Cakes


  • 1 lb crabmeat
  • 2 Tbsp tartar sauce
  • sprinkle mustard powder
  • 1 beaten egg
  • sprinkle red pepper flakes
  • 3 tbsp chopped chives
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper to taste 
  • olive oil

 Combine all ingredients except olive oil in a large bowl.  The mixture should stick together, but not be too wet.  Shape into 7-8 crab cakes and refrigerate for 30 minutes. 

Heat olive oil in a wide pan.  Cook, in batches, a few minutes on each side until golden brown.  Keep crab cakes warm in a low oven until they’re all cooked.
