Freezing Strawberries

Freezing strawberries is very easy.  Just hull them and place them on a tray lined in parchment, then pop them in the freezer for an hour or so, until frozen hard.  Then transfer berries to a freezer bag.  You’ll be able to use them throughout the year without having to defrost them all because they won’t be stuck together.

Even though Strawberry Week was last week, I couldn’t resist adding another one.  And I do have a few more berry posts coming, too.

  1. This is such a good idea! My grandmother always froze them already sugared, but I want them unsweetened, and as you say, not stuck together. Thanks for the tip!
