Winter Solstice

Sunday Stroll

We’ve had quite a bit of snow since Friday.  Friday’s storm, which began around noon, dumped over 6 inches of snow by nightfall.  On Saturday, there were snow showers all day, but no real accumulation.  Today, we’ve got wet snow that is supposed to turn to rain by afternoon, accompanied by strong winds.  I just love the beautiful snow that blankets my home, yard and garden.  Here are some views of the snow I’ve taken over the past couple of days.

The snowflakes reflected the flash to make this pretty design.

We’re supposed to get a rain storm on Christmas Eve, so it’s looking like we won’t have a white Christmas afterall.  We’ll just have to enjoy the snow while we have it.

  1. Beautiful snow! Maybe some of it will linger for Christmas Day. I hope our weather isn’t headed your way. We’ve got -25 windchills today.

  2. Beautiful pictures, Abbie! The rain is now turning to freezing rain and ice, so maybe this snow will stay around for a bit!

While others are already sick of snow, we still seem to be enjoying it here!

Poor Joyce ~ must be shivering with those windchills! Let’s hope that isn’t coming our way!

  3. I keep telling myself I’ll be tired of taking snow pictures by February…if not January.
    Or perhaps not!
    Yours are beautiful!

  4. Abbie, How pretty! Your house and your cousin’s look all dressed up for the holidays. Enjoy these beautiful days. Thank you for letting me know that you strolled!

  5. It seems we were all getting the same storm. My Sunday stroll was through the windows this week.

  6. Gosh, I miss the snow. It looks beautiful; hopefully we’ll see some snow and maybe get to visit with you in a few days!
