Pantry Update: Countertop

Ed got the countertop on our pantry cabinets.  They’re black walnut with a clear finish.  Now he’s working on designing the upper cabinets, which will have a beadboard back and open shelves.  I’m happy to finally be able to start filling them up!

Those are some nice tops. Can you show detail on on the joints in the corner? I built some cabinets for a home about two years ago that had open shelves (no doors) on the overheads. It’s a nice country look.

  2. They are beautiful, he done a great job!!

What a beautiful walnut countertop–so rich looking! Love the colonial blue of the cabinets, too. Have you filled them up yet?

Oh how beautiful!!! I’m jealous of all the space!!!

  8. Thanks, everyone! When we started planning our house years ago, my 2 demands were a laundry room on the second floor and a kitchen pantry. I’m enjoying both now!
