We’re Expecting!

I hope you’ll forgive me for the cliff-hanging last post. I wrote that post weeks ago when I was dying to tell people about my pregnancy.

We found out we were expecting on July 5, 2009.  I’m due on March 14.  Everything is good, all the tests results have come back favorable, and everyone is excited about this first grandchild on each side of the family.  If you want to know more details, I started a new blog: Our Country Baby.  Here’s the ultrasound from yesterday!

CONGRATULATIONS Abbie and Ed, and grandparents and uncles and aunts too! So exciting!

  2. Congratulations!! I’m so happy for both of you. You are going to be an amazing Mommy :).

  3. Woooohoooo! Thanks so much Abbie for officially announcing our family’s wonderful news; now I know I can blog about it, too, because the grand-parents-to-be are going just a little bit crazy around here!!!!!!

We love you and Ed and know you will be wonderful parents to this very lucky, already-much-loved child!

  4. Congratulations!

And thank you for updating us. I was on pins and needles.

All my best wishes for a healthy and happy pregnancy. 🙂

Congratulations! I was trying to catch up on some blog reading and I guess it was a good night to check in. It’s funny, I remember reading a post about veggies and dip a while back that you had written noting that you were trying to eat healthy for several reasons, and I thought then that you might be expecting a little one, guess I was right!
You must be thrilled, and congratulations to Ruth too! She must be ecstatic!!
The baby is so lucky to have such a great family!

AMEN!!!!! The news is finally out in the open and us grammies can come out of the closet. We are all so excited about this little blessing in our lives and Ed and Abbie, I know you are going to be terrific parents. We will do our best to be the proudest and best grandparents this little one will have. It feels so good to have reached that elite level of being grandparents, can it get any better than this. Just know that we are here for whatever you and Ed need. Love you , all 3 of you!!! Mom AKA Mimi xoxox

  7. Awesome news! You’ll be a great mom!

Congratulations! I still read your blog but have not commented for a long time. This post though I must!!!

Waiting 5 years is just what we did too many years ago! We built our house first before starting our family. We then had our first daughter in March of 1983!

May you have a happy and healthy pregnancy!

  21. Congrats to both you and Ed. It’s my opinion that you two will make GREAT parents.

My oldest daughter is pregnant with her first, as well. Due in early February. So, 2010 looks to be a baby year.

  22. Congratulations Abbie and Ed! I can’t wait to follow Our Country Baby too, 🙂

  23. Congrats!!! I’m off to add the baby blog to my google reader. 🙂

  24. Congratulations, Abbie! That is fantastic news — I’m so happy for you.

  25. Oh, that is great! I am expecting too, also from our fifth anniverary — discussed a week before that evening, and we’d decided to wait another few months but… well, it was a very good anniversary 😉 I’m due Jan 22 — so from me to you, here is cyber-toast to country babies!
