Simple, Little Beauty

Yesterday, while we were in a mad rush to try to get out of the house, my mom stopped over and took a fussy Joshua outside for a little walk around the yard. She returned with these pretty wild flowers, called dame’s rocket, and put them in a little bottle Ed dug up at his parents’ house while getting ready to build a new barn. This was a simple, sweet reminder to stop and smell the wildflowers.

  1. Is Dame’s Rocket native in Connecticut? Here in Michigan its a horribly aggressive invasive – albeit a pretty one!

  2. I wish WE had such attractive aggressive invasives. Trade-off would probably be something cold, though, like maybe snow.
