Giveaway #3: Honeybee Gardens Nail Polish and Remover

I absolutely love Honeybee Gardens! I’ve been using their products for about three years and their WaterColors Nail Polish is my favorite.  I don’t paint my fingernails (they’d get wrecked way too easily!) but I use WaterColors Nail Polish on my toes.  I just love that there’s no “nail polish smell” when I apply it, and the scientist in me loves that there’s no toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate, xylene or FD&C colors.

Honeybee Gardens is giving away one bottle of WaterColors Nail Polish, you get to choose the color, and one bottle of their acetone-free Nail Polish Remover!

Here are some details on WaterColors Nail Polish:

Our unique water-based polish is free from harsh chemical odors; no more nasty fumes! But perhaps best of all, there’s also no need for toxic smelly nail polish remover – this product removes with rubbing alcohol, vodka/grain alcohol or our Nail Polish Remover! Thanks to our new patented technology, there’s nothing else like it on the market!

To enter, look at the WaterColors Nail Polish color swatches to choose which color you’d like to win, then come back here and tell me about it! My favorite color is Burlesque.  It’s on my toes right now!

For extra entries (you must leave a separate comment here for each; 1 extra entry each):

  • Visit the Honeybee Gardens blog, then come leave another comment here about it
  • “Like” Honeybee Gardens on Facebook and leave a comment here to tell me you did

Entries close at midnight on March 30, and winners will be announced on March 31. Good luck!

*Note- Honeybee Gardens also gave me a free bottle of their nail polish and remover, but that did not in any way influence my opinions. I’ve been a loyal customer of theirs for a few years!*

  1. I love love love that they are safer than regular polishes because I can’t stand bare toenails… and it’s nice to know that I’m not slapping toxins all over my toes!
    Cherokee is my favorite.

  2. oooh..I like a lot of them but I would choose the Renaissance!

  3. I visited the blog and one article that really stuck out was the ‘chemicals hurt..for real’. It was very interesting to get her opinion on the subject and know that I’m not making it up when I say similar things to people. 🙂

  4. My daughter is absolutely obsessed with painting her nails. She would love the goddess color. Either way, I think I’m going to have to get some for her.

  5. I don’t wear polish at all buy my Tween (soon to be Teen) and younger daughter love it. I have been searching for a “safe” nail polish that we all can live with (In other words that has some real color to it). I love Oasis and Goddess, but my Tween would probably love midnight!

  6. I’m going to say I like the serenity the best… I like to have a clear/subtle coat on my nails all the time. I have really long fingers and my nails look nicest when done. But I will tell you that with a little one who will soon be sucking and chewing on my fingers, I am loathe to do anything other than a natural nail polish. There is a health food store in town that sells a similar product, but their most neutral is super sparkly and that’s not really my thing. Either way… I’m looking forward to having matching mother/daughter pedicures as we play in the grass this summer, so I’m seriously going to have to check out this brand!

  7. Me again… I was reading the blog and laughed out loud on the mascara post. 😀 My eyelashes are blonde so I’m always on the hunt for something to make them “luscious”… I totally identified with the post!

  8. Oooo…lovely colours and a great alternative to the scary stuff that is out there. So happy I found your blog.

I’ve read the Honeybee Gardens and I really like the posts. They’re amusing, yet informing at the same time.

  16. You got me hooked on Honeybee gardens a few years ago. Annabelle and I still enjoy their nail polish and remover.

  17. So hard to choose my favorite…I guess I’d have to say Cherokee.

  18. I love Honeybee Gardens! I would get Oasis.

  19. Lisa

This would be fun to win. I paint my toenails but never my fingernails because of all the toxic stuff in regular polish.

  20. Kelly

So, I love Honeybee because I rarely, hardly never get to pamper my nails because my sweetie is wicked sensitive to all nail products. The slightest wiff sends him into a horrible migrane. My nails have been naked for almost 15 yrs!!!

I adore Burlesque! The name is scrumptious! The colour is wonderful looking!!
Melissa’s blog is full of info; now on my favorites list so I can dig in properly!!
    Thanks for the great products!!!

  21. Chahira

My favourite colour is renaissance 🙂

  22. Soozle

My favorite color of the nailpolishes is the Tease – what a great shade of purple!

  23. Soozle

I visited Melissa’s blog and really like how honest it is – no holds barred blogs on hair salons, mascara and wrinkles! Love it! 😀

I am a huge fan of Burlesque & would love to see it on my toes all summer long!

  27. Ooh, so hard to choose just one! I’m a sucker for neutrals, though, so I’d choose Mocha Latte. Or Fairy Dust. No, Whisper!

    Ok, final answer: Romance.

  28. Richan

I love the Burlesque. Im wearing a color close to it on my toes now but its a regular polish 😦

I like the blog I agree about the fast food we dont eat it but sometime my husband will crave it and always feel sick after. I had to laugh at the one about the lighter totally something I would do.

  33. I’ve already “liked” the Honeybee Garden’s Facebook page. I’ve been buying from them for about 3 months…haven’t tried the polish yet for some weird reason!

  34. Oooh I love the blog! It’s so nice to get to know the face behind the company! I wish more companies were that transparent! 🙂

  35. I also only tend to paint my toes…fingers chip way too quickly! Goddess and looks like a pretty colour 🙂

  36. I’ve already got Honeybee Gardens liked on fb 🙂

  37. I like Melissa’s blog too…I’ve come across several people who claim their products are natural when they clearly aren’t too. Very frustrating!

  39. Mary

I follow Honeybee Gardens on facebook (Mary Arnold)

  40. I think I’d pick Shiny Penny to match my hair 🙂

  41. Entry #2

I routinely read her blog and left a comment about a bad experience at a hair salon a few weeks ago.

  42. Entry #3

I ‘liked’ Honeybee Gardens a long time ago. It’s the only makeup I’ll wear because I have such sensitive skin and because I’m health conscious. I found her site when I was researching the origins of my own name (I’m also named Melissa, after the Greek nymph who was turned into a bee) and looking for related (read: bees) jewelry.

  43. Pam Crow

Love Honeybee Gardens. Their mascara is the greatest. I also use the lip and eye liner and the nail polishes. So glad to find a polish that isn’t stinky.

  44. Midgee

My daughter and I have five colors of Honeybee Gardens nail enamel in our “vanity” cabinet right now. My favorite color is “risque”. My daughter would enjoy choosing from more vibrant colors (bright blues, greens, etc.) whenever HG begins to make them. We ♡ Honeybee Gardens products!

  45. Midgee

I’m already a follower of HG on facebook.

  46. Wendy Stanbury

  52. tamalyn fraley

I would love to win the shiny penny, what a nice shade.

  53. Courtney Young

i visited your blog and really liked the article entitled, “You Look Rested…”

it is a very intriguing dichotomy regarding the “line” we perceive regarding our physical appearances. it’s such a struggle these days to find a nice balance between trying to appear naturally beautiful and actually achieving it. personally, i try to limit what i’d do to augment/improve my appearances, but i do dye my hair, straighten it, and wear make up. but at this point in my life, i don’t anticipate getting plastic surgery. of course, i’m still in my 20s and once my skin (and body parts) start to sag and wrinkle, i may very well change my mind.

  54. tamalyn fraley

I have liked HG on facebook for some time now.
